Scalloped Exploding Box

Using lots of scallops this box requires scoring only on the flaps of the lid.

The design comes as 4 scut files sized  to make a 3 inch exploding box and lid complete with  mats and layers for each layer as well as an svg for the lid and exploding box layer.  I have timed myself and if I cut the mats file first I can cut and make up an undecorated box in 15 minutes.

This design is unsuitable for the 6" cricut and does not include any of the decorations.

£2.00

scalloped square boxes

This file contains 3 svgs to make square scalloped boxes of varying heights.  Simply copy and paste the original box base and enlarge slightly to create the lid or use one of the other bases for a different look.

Milk carton

This template uses a series of micro perforations to create the score lines.  They need a bit of practise to make up as you have to judge how much of the top you squeeze together.

The largest carton possible in the smaller machine is 2" sqr by 3 1/4" high which is more than large enough to hold a small bag of sweets.

£0.99

Scalloped Milk carton holder

Carrier designed to carry 4 milk cartons. This does not included the svgs for the cartons.

1 base svg, 1 plain handle svg and 1 scalloped top handle svg.  You will need to cut 2 bases and 2 handles to make the carrier pictured.  I have made a similar carrier and used it to hold mini jam jars but for stability you would need to cut a 3rd handle from a thick card.

Instructions are not included but I will be adding a tutorial to my blog 1st week in Sept.

£1.50

3d handbag

This was cut from a sheet of a4 card and measures just over 4" high and 4 1/2" wide.  It is not really suitable for the smaller cricuts.  The file comes as an svg template for the base and a seperate one for the handle ring.  There is also a jpg image showing the score lines which you will have to make with an embossing tool.
£0.99

pocket tissue box

Scalloped edge box to fit pocket tissues.

2 slightly different proportioned svgs included to fit packs of pocket tissues.  The packet I used as a size guide came from a cheapie shop but should fit the more expensive brands.

£0.99

Note Card box 1

This design has 3 variations, the 2 pictured above and one with a straight top but the 2 sides cutaway to allow easier access to the cards.  The design uses micro perforations to show the score lines but you will still need to score with a ruler and embossing tool.

There is also a plain rectangle which acts as a handle.

The file was designed at 90dpi and should work with all digital diecutters that use Inkscape.  At present I only have a cricut so am unable to test cut to be 100% sure that the perforations wont cause a problem

£0.99

Note Card box 2

I havent pictured the box yet as it's nearly identical to the straight sided box pictured in box 1.  However this box comes in 2 parts and are designed to sit one inside the other with small finger groves.  To look at undecorated it's pretty much a bogstandard box and measures approx. 3 1/2" square.
£0.99

Notecard box 3

Boxes can be tricky to make on scal because the cricut can not score lines and without a guide it can be hard to score in the right place. To counteract this I have made all the score lines as a line of spaced perforations.  You will still need to score by hand with a ruler and an embossing tool.  I have found sticking the card to the mat right side down hides most of the perforations when assembled.

The boxes have a small or a full scalloped front.  Each box has 2 options, with a straight inner front and with a cutaway inner front.  There is also a plain rectangle which acts as a handle if you want one.  Please note the scalloped ribbon slide and scalloped strip are not included.

The file was designed at 90dpi and should work with all digital diecutters that use Inkscape.  At present I only have a cricut so am unable to test cut to be 100% sure that the perforations wont cause a problem

Handles/decorative strips

Not a box or 3d but these work well with the notecard boxes.

These strips can be used either as decoration or as handles.  Pictured just cut they don't look anything special but used with the notecard boxes I love them.

Buckles and ribbon slides

These ribbon slides and buckles come as individual svgs and are sized at 3", 2" & 1"

Plaits

I finally found a use for the 2" strips of card left over from cutting a4 down to fit the smaller cricut.. plaits.  The svg contains 3 identical 9 1/4" long * 1/2" wavy strips which can be plaited or wrapped together to make decorative patterns.  These are perfectly sized to use as handles for my small notecard boxes. Or can be resized if you want to use them for scrapbook pages.

I have found that you can use 5 strips together to create a tight rope effect but I didn't think of it until after I'd taken the photo.

The file was designed at 90dpi and should work with all digital diecutters that use Inkscape.  At present I only have a cricut so am unable to test cut to be 100% sure

3" scalloped cards and envie

3" scallop cards and envie

This design has 6 variations of 3" cards, the 4 pictured above and 2 with a solid fold.  There are 2 envelope svgs, 1 with micro perforations to show the fold line and 1 without.  They were designed to fit inside my notecard box svgs which are listed seperately.

The file was designed at 90dpi and should work with all digital diecutters that use Inkscape

Notecard box set

This set contains, box 1,2&3, the handles, buckles, plait and cards & envie sets and saves nearly £2 on buying each set seperately.  I've also added in two 3" scalloped squares and the scalloped frame I used to decorate one of the boxes with.

Hopefully you can now see why I like the decorative strips.

£4.99

Stationary Box

This stationary box is designed to fit UK card sizes and was created in 90dpi.  There are 2 variations for the back section, 1 fits 6*6 cards the other (pictured) a6 cards with a section for bookmarks etc.  It might not show on the picture but the edges are very slightly scalloped.

The lower section has 2 variations, as pictured with a pen sized space or with the right hand section elongated to reach the sides.

There are 2 different depth lids.  When the lids are removed the front section will drop down.  I would have loved to have made them deeper but it's not possible unless using the 12*24 mat and it's not so easy to get pretty card in that size.

Each of the pieces have very small perforation marks that you use as a guide and you do need to score the lines with an embossing tool.

I have included the svgs I used to cut the layers, this is more as a placement guide than to cut as they arent to the mm accurate and dodgy scoring can make them appear worse.  It's best to measure each section and cut the mats & any layers by hand.

You will need 4 sheets of thick 12*12 card and 3 sheets of pretty 12*12 paper to make & decorate this box.  It isnt a beginners box although I will be adding a step by step to my blog Oct 14th.

£3.49

Latticed Exploding box

This exploding box has a latticed outer layer and 2 solid inner layers.  There are also 3 different depth lids although the thinnest lid doesnt have a very large amount of area to glue the sides together.  Very strong narrow dst will be needed.

There is also a square lattice frame which can be cut seperately and adhered to the lid.

Sized at 90dpi this file will cut in cougar machines.

£3.00

Triangular Scalloped Box

The base & the lid are the same file and you will need to enlarge the lid by approx .15" in surecutsalot.   Also included are the svgs to create a scalloped triangle, a scalloped triangular card & a plain triangular card.  By careful placement of the scalloped triangle or the triangle in scals basic shapes pallet you will be able to make an aperature in the box lid or card.  When the box is cut at 6" tall it will be approx. 1.25" deep.

Although this design was created in 90dpi cougar users will need some knowledge of inkscape to resize the base to create the lid or to create an aperature in the lid

£0.99

Scalloped Octagonal Box

Sorry if you're getting fed up with boxes, I promise after todays new designs I'll work on some new card bases.

The base & the lid for this box is the same file and you will need to enlarge the lid by approx .15" in surecutsalot.   Also included are svgs to create a scalloped octagon, a scalloped card & a plain  card.  By careful placement of the scalloped octagon or the octagon in scals basic shapes pallet you will be able to make an aperature in the box lid or card as pictured above.  When the box is cut at 6" tall it will be approx. 1.25" deep.

Sorry not for cougar machines unless you have experience in resizing in inkscape.

£0.99

Scalloped Hexagonal Box

As with my last 2 designs the base & the lid are the same file and you will need to enlarge the lid by approx .15" in surecutsalot.   Also included will be svgs to create a scalloped hexagon, a scalloped card & a plain  card.  By careful placement of the scalloped hexagon or the hexagon in scals basic shapes pallet you will be able to make an aperature in the box lid or card as pictured above.  When the box is cut at 6" tall it will be approx. 1.25" deep
£0.99

3d Pram

The svgs include the base, sides, 3d hood, frame & wheels. Cut at original size it will make a pram approx 5.5" tall and wide and 3cms deep but the depth can be changed very simply in scal.

The base is made of a strip with lots of "teeth" these will need to be scored by hand and carefully glued to the sides.  Although I have added holes to the frame and wheels I prefer to use a cropodile as it gives a neater hole.

I will be adding a step by step to my blog before 1 Nov but it's a very easy design to put together.
£0.99

3d fireplace

3d fireplace

This design will make a 3d fireplace to sit on a 5 3/4" card.

You will need to know the basics of box making and be accurate with your scoring, folding and glueing.

Included are the svgs to make the card, the tiny stockings and envie and an approx. 6" sqr svg to cut a brickwork inking mask.  I've also included a written instruction sheet in pdf format.

£2.49

Birdhouse 3d

Cut to size this will make exactly the same size as my birdhouse card but the box will be 1" deep.  You will need to have some understanding of box making, narrow strong dst and a bit of patience.  As with the birdhouse card there are variations with the door and thickness of the frames.

Unsuitable for smaller cricuts.

£0.99

Vase box

This was a happy accident.  While making the birdhouse card I joined the sides together rather than the roof.  The card looked great while flat but when I stood it up it was pointing towards me rather than upwards.  Oops.

Then when I was just about to delete the file and start again I thought perhaps it would make a pretty box.  So, here we have a pretty box lol.  The box comes as an svg to make 2 sides, cut 2 and attach to the base svg before adding the scalloped decoration if required.  You could probably make a 6 or even 8 sided box by cutting more of the sides but you will need to work out your own base.

Suitable for smaller cricuts.

£0.99

Sleigh box
Using the same body as my sleighcard I turned this one into a sweetie
dish.  You'll need to score then mould the inner section before
assembling.  If you're unsure of the score lines there is a free
pdf for hand cutting and scoring lines on the pdf page.  If you've
bought my sleigh card design the runners will fit perfectly although if
you want to have them symetrical you'll need to cut the paper inside
out for one of the runners.

3d cot

3d cot designed at 90dpi for cougar & scal2 users.

The
design comes in 3 parts, 2 sides joined to a head and a base.  There
are several variations, With or without the heart design in the head
board, straight slats or spindles in the side board and each variation
has the base in 2 heights.  There are also bare sides at both heights
should you wish to use an organza material to line the sides.  I've
also included inner covers to hide the tabs if you prefer as well as
shaped cut outs to mask sections while you decorate. The one pictured
was masked then stamped with small peg stamps to create a border.

Cut at the original size the cot will be approx 4.25" tall, 5" long and 3" deep.

This design requires careful scoring and glueing.  A step by step is on my blog.

Should you require further help assembling or sizes to import in scal 1 please email me.

£2.99

Dart board and case

3d dartboard and cabinet designed at 90dpi.

This one
is surprisingly easy to make but it takes a lot of card and careful
glueing.  The picture doesnt really show the detail but the double and
treble areas are cut from green and red cardstock which is laid over a
white cutaway section, ontop of a black circle.  This all then has the
silver "wire" overlaid.

The dartboard is approx. 6"
tall and sits on an 8" peeloff edged circle.  It's made seperately to
the cabinet which is an 8/5" square box with oversized gatefold doors.

Included is a pdf with instructions on which svg to use with which colour card and assembly instructions.

Sadly it is only for use with the expressions or cougar.

£2.49

Square tissue box cover

This is a 90dpi svg that needs to use 2 sheets of full a4 to create
the sleeve.  Sorry, it's just too big for the 6" cricuts.  The flower
design used to decorate is not included, I used a Joanna Sheen stamp,
coloured with copics and cut by hand with a scalpel.

The
design comes as a single svg which needs to be cut twice then stuck
together at 2 side seams and the top segments folded down and glued
together.  There are small perforations at each end of the score lines
to show where you need to emboss a line.  For those experienced in box
making they're pretty obvious and the design can easily be blacked out
in scal.

I've also included a base that if you want to
make a full box you will need to enlarge the top sleeve by approx
1/5th or 1/10th of an inch depending on the thickness of card you are
using.

Imported with scal2 set to 90dpi this will fit a standard tissue box 11cm square by 13cms tall.

£0.99

Oblong tissue box

I wish supermarkets would realise that their oblong tissue boxes are too big to fit on to 12" card.

Without
going to the expense of buying a 12*24 mat it's impossible to make a
sleeve so for this one it's just the box, made in 4 pieces.  The side
& top have to be attached to the other side & bottom then 2
rectangles stuck to either end.  Not really practical as you would need
to keep one end attached with a repo glue and I've never found one yet
that has enough sticking power to last as long as I want it to.
